Good facilities and suburb layout with medium capital growth set.
Storage King North Parramatta offers a safe & secure environment for all your belongings. I bought a unit in Parramatta 10 years ago as an investment property. posted 2010-Mar-4, 9:08 pm AEST There are plenty of break ins (both homes and cars) in the Hills area and even apartments in Lane Cove.Had car broken into parked in a alley near the big parking stations once. Often regarded as Sydney's 2nd CBD, Parramatta is a great place to be. There's definitely a lot of lebs, fobs and lads around in groups.Parramatta is hardly a ghetto but it does appear to have a higher proportion of tough looking, gangster-type characters compared to Hornsbythere's always misguided xenophobia and people rightly and wrongly feeling vilified, which can perpetuate an assumption that an area isn't as safe as it isParramatta is hardly a ghetto but it does appear to have a higher proportion of tough looking, gangster-type characters compared to HornsbyBut there's always misguided xenophobia and people rightly and wrongly feeling vilified, which can perpetuate an assumption that an area isn't as safe as it isGroups have always hanged out around the westfield entrance to chruch stThe railway side where the Bus interchange and the bars are, is the most unsafe placeI know a friend got robbed and slammed unconscious years ago at Parra rail station. Also know others had break-ins to properties and to carsNo. Very very very close to the station, shops, restraunts, bars... well.. everything really. I also used to work there too.I walked around Parramatta at all times from 9 pm to 5 am and it's not actually that dangerous, still haven't been stabbed.
Parramatta is a family-friendly but lively community with a lot great events like Parramatta Lanes that suit young families and professionals. There are plenty of break ins (both homes and cars) in the Hills area and even apartments in Lane Cove.A couple years ago, I had a family friend with his group of friends on their way to a function at Parramatta from Parra station, all dressed up in tuxedos, they were minding their own business when for no reason they were set upon by about 4 or 5 guys, he got knocked out, hit with a bat or blunt object, suffered a fractured skull, was in a coma for a month or so, it was really bad.I avoid Parramatta really late at night, early evening is fine..Hornsby is safe I moved there 3 years ago, nice area I always walk at night through the streets :Dworked in parramatta for 10 years until recently. My friends have also been to get food at night sometimes around 7pm at the restaurants or 3-4am at that City Extra and they've never seen any problems, lots of people but no trouble – everyones just come back to eat from a night out it seems :PI'd be relying on trains too so I'd want an area with a popular train station – guess Parra is good for that, they've got the transit buses too.Doesn't Parramatta have quite a lot of white collar employment these days? There are heaps of flats in these suburbs within the price range comparable to Hornsby area. That comes within the City of Blacktown's LGA boundaries! Is there a website to find out the crime statistics of certain areas?I feel Parramatta is about the same on safety as anywhere in Sydney.Well, Bankstown can be bad, Auburn can be bad, Blacktown can be very unsafe too.I don't think Fairfield, Liverpool and Campbelltown is any better either.I know an ex-work colleague who was bashed, attacked into a coma by some men at Blacktown train station. He was on his way home from work and he ended up in hospital for some weeks and he was absent from work for many months.I also heard crime does happen time to time at Parramatta just like anywhere. :) I grew up in that area but that was many years ago,Did notice it change ethnically in the late 80s early 90s,but it was always a rough area.
I believe many of them got away with it.i live near blactown and i used to hangout in parra as a pasttime when i was in highschool.blacktown has a few ok suburbs like parramatta does. All rights reserved. Is Parramatta/Westmead a fairly safe area you guys think?
Blacktown is arguably the worst area in Sydney. Is Parramatta/Westmead a fairly safe area you guys think?
This area is growing rapidly and has almost everything on offer. Campbell st complex where Police HQ was originally located is larger than the new complex and there wasn't a major problem with that building.Justification for relocating to Parramatta was outlined in 1999 Annual Report called "Future Directions" as part of corporate strategy. Church Street mall is full of homeless people and it is infamous for druggies injecting themselves near toilet. i certainly do not feel safe there. That's near Merrylands and ParraThis is no longer the case. As some posters have indicated in this thread "religious extremists" reside in around Parramatta. posted 2010-Mar-1, 9:35 pm AEST
