東京生まれ、鎌倉育ち。米ボストン在住。日大芸術学部フルート科を卒業。在学中、作曲法も修学。1987年１月ジャズを学ぶためバークリー音大入学、同年９月ニューイングランド音楽学院大学院ジャズ作曲科入学、演奏はデイヴ・ホランドに師事。1991年両校をsumma cum laude等３つの最優秀賞を獲得し同時に卒業。ニューイングランド音楽学院では作曲家ジョージ・ラッセルのアシスタントを務め、後に彼の「リヴィング・タイム・オーケストラ」の正式メンバーに招聘される。NYCを拠点に活動するブラジリアン・ジャズ・バンド「ハシャ・フォーラ」リーダー。『ハシャ・ス・マイルス』や『ハッピー・ファイヤー』などのアルバムが好評。ボストンではブラジル音楽で著名なフルート奏者、城戸夕果と双頭で『Love To Brasil Project』を率い活動中。 They flew outside my window pane now they just have to be kept a secret
