I can see that your refund was made a few days after you posted this review. After I paid for the ticket my card was charged 3 more times in $1000 increments. We have been caught in the middle, and I'm sorry if all this impacted on the level of service we aim for. To paraphrase their response it said, "here are our T's & C's - you will not be getting any money from us."
I am so sorry that you had to wait so long. We show the airline fare separate from the service fee, so the fee is fully transparent. Securing refunds for our customers has been immesnsely challenging, and (as you know) in the end we refunded you from our own reserves.

We have done our level best throughout to support you in very, very difficult circumstances, with Flybe's collapse quickly followed by the shutdown of the entire aviation sector.

As a consequence it is hard to escape the idea that this company are deliberately profiteering from the current global pandemic. as you know, the refund from easyJet was finally received and passed on to you within a couple of days of this review. See business transparency Not heard another peep from them since 8th April, and no refund. Directline Flights on the other hand are insisting on hiding behind a very flimsy excuse and have, in my humble opinion, provided very little, if any, actual service.
This company's service was appalling. We have been promised the refund within 5 days then two weeks then 1 month, then 3 months and now???? They send out nice emails with no money attached
I can see that your refund has been made since you posted this review. It is shown again on the card verification page. Once I saw the charges I requested a refund.
I thought at first I was booking it with easyjet not with directline flights. Directline Flights also ranks 120th among Plane Tickets sites.
The delays in airlines making refunds have been well publicised, and I am sorry for how frustating this must have been for you.
They don't do anything other than make your life harder.
Thats a lesson I have learnt!! I duly e-mailed them and their response was fairly quick - unfortunately it was equally terse. I booked a flight for the 4th June 2020 till 8th June 2020. I have asked a colleague to get in touch to see how we can help. As is widely reported, refunds were taking a very long time to come through, and we were unfortunately stuck in the middle.
I know of no other travel agency that would do that. Easyjet haven't flown out of East Midlands in forever and Flybe went bust... but directflights are still listing them as carriers on their website. It's good to see that easyJet eventually relented and agreed to a refund. The best place to get in touch with is us, your agent. At no point did they mention that service charge was not refundable, so I went ahead and booked the flights. According to our records you emailed just once, on 14/5/20, and we replied within 24 hours.. We have heard nothing from you since. I made a booking with TUI last July for my mother in law to attend my daughters wedding this coming September.
If they're not capable of keeping their website up to date, I'd be worried about using them My flight is on 18th June 2020 but due to Coronavirus and Government advice we are unable to fly now or near future and i wanted refund but they don't answer phone or does not reply to Email for refund of the amount I paid. Ryanair have said they will give me the majority of my money back, less a figure of £30 or so. And please to anyone reading this, please never book with Directline their service is SHOCKING ! Still awaiting my refund and where to go, I have been in touch with many people and I will next be going to trading standards and watchdog should my refund not be completed. I booked a flight for 4th July 2020 due Booked through easy jet and was taken to the direct line page waited over 3 months for my refund to be given for it to be £50 pounds short over a service fee !! They then made cheque out to my mother in law and not to me, when the cheque arrived they had only refunded the £379 and it didn’t include the £25 service charge. When I asked why this was the case, they said I should pick this up with Directline Flights.
My flight was cancelled by Ryanair this week and I requested a refund.
